The International Balint Federation and its meetings

The International Balint Federation (IBF) exists to promote Balint work generally, support the work of national societies and to promote establishment of Balint work in countries where there is no national society.

The American Balint Society works closely with the IBF, members have served as IBF President (Frank Dornfest 1993-98) and IBF Vice President (Don Nease 2007-current))

IBF Congresses
Every two years the IBF holds an International Balint Congress which provides plenary presentations on Balint work and related research as well as opportunities to participate in Balint Groups during the Congress.

The 17th International Balint Congress was held in Philadelphia, USA, September 7-11, 2011.

The 18th International Balint Congress will be held in Heidelberg, Germany in September of 2013.

IBF Council Meetings
Additionally, the IBF holds a Council meeting twice a year, typically in conjunction with a national society meeting. Upcoming IBF Council meetings are posted on the IBF website.
