The Council of the American Balint Society has developed the following procedure to become a Credentialed Balint Leader as a way of recognizing leaders who have attained an advanced level of skill in leading Balint Seminars. The Council believes that credentialing will help leaders become recognized for their expertise by other professional bodies and institutions.
Credentialed Balint Group Leaders are eligible to participate as faculty in ABS workshops, demonstrations and presentations, including Balint weekends and Leader Intensive Training. A credentialed leader may become a Balint Leader Supervisor after sufficient faculty experience. A credentialed Balint Leader’s co-leader will not need outside supervision in order to become credentialed themselves.
Our current ABS Credentialed Leaders can be found here.
